Step 1:
Clean the area you wish to repair.
Hot Melt Rubber (HMR) TAPE is a very versatile, durable and long-lasting product that liquifies when heated to form an immediate use seal.
* 25 Linear Feet, Spiral Wrapped - 7/8" Gray HMR TAPE spiral.
7/8" Gray HMR TAPE placed in standard 1" concrete slab joint.
Step 2:
Unroll HMR TAPE and place in expansion joint.
Step 3.
Apply heat to melt in place.
HMR TAPE can be used to fill concrete joints and cracks but is also a fast and easy way to adhere pavement markers, adhere sign posts, rumble strips, speed bumps, parking bumpers, temporary signs or most anything else to both concrete and asphalt pavement. Plus, the only tool required is a small torch. Peel back the self release cardboard box and melt just enough to do the job. The product is easy to apply and meets some of the most stringent material specs from regulatory agencies. It can also be painted providing a pleasant aesthetic look.
HMR TAPE meets or exceeds ASTM C920-11 Standard Specification for elastomeric sealants, Type S, T1 for pedestrians and vehicular traffic. It contains no VOC’s and can be painted with acrylic, latex or epoxy coatings. Once it has been applied it will be traffic ready in about 5 minutes. It is an elastomeric, self-leveling sealant, which liquefies quickly when heated and can be used in concrete and asphalt surfaces. When properly applied, it HMR TAPE offers extraordinary resiliency to protect against the infiltration of moisture and exhibits superior low temperature ductility, weather resistance, low oxidation breakdown and is non-tracking.
Applying HMR TAPE is as simple as blowing the pavement making sure the surface is clean and dry, unrolling HMR TAPE and applying it to the surface. Warm the edges to assure a long lasting bond. Properly installed, HMR TAPE prevents water intrusion and the deterioration it causes to the pavement. HMR TAPE is compounded to perform in a wide range of climates and conditions.
